About this Nominee
Greetings Kalamazoo! I am Kim Guess, CEO of The Xperience by Luxury Escapes, Guess Who’s Dancing Fitness, Goddess Blendz cold pressed juice & the Founder/ED of The BU Foundation. The Xperience is the 1st black-owned entertainment venue on the Kalamazoo Mall, and I am one of the few black women in the state with a class C liquor license through the Michigan Liquor License Commission.
My mission has been to showcase the diversity of Kalamazoo County and the city of Kalamazoo. I've revitalized Beats on Bates, Workout Wednesday, and brought back the biggest Caribbean Festival in the Midwest.
Our biggest achievement so far at The Xperience has been generating over $$650k in our first two years and paying out $150k to other small businesses featured as vendors. Winning this award would honor not only me but the entire community standing behind me.
