Sarah Mead

About this Nominee

Since graduating WMU, Sarah has dedicated herself to the Kalamazoo community. She has volunteered at multiple organizations, including Girls on the Run and helping the pets at the emergency shelter after the recent tornadoes. She has also offered her talents to organizations by singing the National Anthem at events.

Furthermore, Sarah played a role in bringing the Zeigler Kalamazoo Marathon and other downtown events to the community. Her professional journey has also revolved around supporting Kalamazoo nonprofits, with her current focus at Gryphon Place involving helping those in conflict and crisis, including suicide prevention.

Sarah's consistent dedication to the community, coupled with her leadership, compassion, and pursuit of excellence, serves as an inspiration to those around her. Recognizing her as the alumna of the year would not only acknowledge her personal accomplishments but also celebrate the positive impact she has had on our community.
