At AVB, we believe that great places don’t just happen—they’re built by people who care deeply about their community and each other. Since 1981, we’ve been proud to call Southwest Michigan home, and we’ve spent over four decades creating great places to live, work, and learn.

Founded by Joe Gesmundo and Daryl Rynd, AVB began with a shared vision: to build with purpose and integrity. That vision came to life in Woodbridge Hills, a master-planned community that continues to reflect our commitment to thoughtful design and lasting impact.

Today, AVB is a regional leader in construction and development, known for our collaborative spirit and client-first approach. Whether it’s a LEED Gold-certified apartment building in downtown Kalamazoo, a state-of-the-art school facility, or a custom home nestled in a quiet neighborhood, we bring the same passion and pride to every project.
