Maria Newhouse is the owner Maria Newhouse Photography, an award-winning photography business based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Since launching her business in 2019, she has become known for creating authentic, joy-filled images that celebrate life’s meaningful moments. Her work includes family portraits, seniors, dancers, athletes, and milestone sessions, with a style that emphasizes connection, movement, and genuine emotion.
Outside of photography, Maria works full-time in higher education and is an author, community volunteer, and mother of four. She believes strong communities are built through relationships and storytelling, and she is passionate about using both her camera and her writing to celebrate the people, organizations, and moments that make Southwest Michigan a special place to call home.
